When you don't stand with a hard 16 against the dealer, the dealer's advantage increases slightly. While a hard 16 is a weak hand, hitting can sometimes improve it. The problem is, hitting also carries a higher risk of busting. This means for every time hitting a 16 improves your hand, there will likely be more instances where you bust. This uneven risk/reward imbalance gives the dealer a small advantage when players hit on a hard 16 instead of standing. The advantage is minor since hard 16s are uncommon, but it shows why the stand strategy is statistically the better play.

I think the dealer's advantage in blackjack increases when you don't stand because they have a chance to draw additional cards to improve their hand. This can result in the dealer obtaining a better hand than yours, causing you to lose your bet. Additionally, in some blackjack variations, the dealer is required to hit until their hand reaches a specific total,
