The dumbest thing a poker player can do is make emotional bets. Sweat the small stuff and don't react impulsively when losing a pot. Careful calculation, not anger, wins money at the tables. Throwing good money after bad simply hastens the inevitable. Raising too frequently masks a weak hand, while calling stationary action reveals nothing. Discipline and restraint, the true courage under pressure, preserve chips when nothing else remains. Bankroll depends on it. Emotions have no place at the poker table.
