When is the dealer allowed to peek at cards?

In blackjack, the dealer is allowed to peek at cards if they have a 10 or Ace up. This is known as the "peek rule". This means that they can check if they have blackjack, which would result in all players who do not have blackjack losing immediately. Before dealing, the dealer must also ensure that everyone has placed their bets and remembered to hit, stand, double down, or surrender. After taking a hit, stand, double down, or split, the dealer should move on to the next player. If the dealer has blackjack, they will immediately pay out any players who have insurance and collect any other bets. If the dealer does not have blackjack, the round of blackjack will proceed as normal.
