Real Madrid will travel to La Ceramica to play Villareal on Thursday night during the Copa del Rey Round of 16 during the middle of the week. The current defending league champions will want to avoid losing their second cup in quick succession to a Villareal team that has been playing well lately after losing 3-1 to rivals Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana final last week. Madrid has 38 points after 16 games, which puts them in second place in La Liga, three points behind leaders Barcelona and 10 ahead of their rivals. It's interesting to note that in their last six games across all competitions, Madrid has only lost one other game aside from the League Cup setback.
