The Saints have only won one of their last eight league and cup games at home due to their recent 90-minute performance. They suffered a 4-0 defeat at Manchester City earlier this season.

In the previous five years, Manchester City has won the Carabao Cup four times. They have won four of their last five games and are currently second in the Premier League. They have lost just one of their previous 12 games overall. City will undoubtedly start with a depleted lineup, but with their excellent team, it won't really matter. Even if Erling Haaland sits out Sunday's FA Cup match against Chelsea, they would still likely win easily.

I think that Southampton may profit more from set pieces as compared to Manchester City who will try and be less direct in these situations, especially that this is one of the few avenues the Saints could use to score.,
