When punters start stackin’ too many chips, that’s when the foolish play comes out, no doubt about it. See, easy come, easy go. Soon as a player wins a few pots and starts feelin’ froggy, their brain turns off and the calling station comes out.
“Aw, it’s just chips, I’ll call that raise with my gut!”. No, sap, those chips mean something when the buy-in’s only $200! Some cat’s idea of “action” is just losing chips as fast as possible once they get stacked.
Me, I always play the same whether I’m up or down. The name of the game is winning pots, not proving how ballsy you are. Too many chips just bring out the idiot in most players, as sure as the sun coming up each mornin’. Keep your head down and play tight, that’s my motto.
