Seating scripts are considered a form of cheating in poker because they give an unfair advantage to the user by allowing them to pick and choose the most favorable seats at the table. These scripts automatically scan tables for open seats and then sit the user at a table where they are able to exploit weaker opponents or avoid playing against tougher opponents. Since the user is not choosing the seat based on their own skill or chance, it is seen as an unfair advantage and disrupts the natural flow of the game. As a result, many online poker rooms have implemented measures to prevent or restrict the use of seating scripts.
