Why do numbers in roulette keep repeating?
The fact that numbers appear repeatedly in roulette is fairly well known. How come, though? There are a few reasons, to be sure.
The first explanation is that the layout of the roulette wheel makes it impossible for the same number to appear twice in a succession. This is so because there is an equal probability that the ball will land in any of the 37 or 38 segments on the roulette wheel, depending on whether you're playing European or American roulette.
