Gambling has now become epidemic plague in Nigeria. Several people are engaging in it be adult or children, males and females. Gambling shops are everywhere both urban and rural areas. As a result of rise in cost of living coupled with high rate of unemployment in the country, many people are now resorting to gambling as a full time source of income. No matter how you tried to counsel these people to beware of addiction or dangers inherent in gambling, they wouldn't heed because they haven't gotten alternative source of income to depend on. As a result of this, little effort is propounded as this could only provide temporary solution to the plague. The onus of the matters lies with the government to rise up to its civic responsibility.
