Why is the demographic for Baccarat players disproportionately Asian?

It always surprises me how most of the high rollers crowding the Vegas Baccarat tables are Asian, often Chinese. Do Asians just have a passion for this game that transcends any cultural barriers? Or is there some perception that they have an advantage, perhaps due to perceived mathematical or strategic superiority?

There must be deeper motivations for the disproportionate prevalence of Asian players in Baccarat. Cultural traditions, views on luck or destiny, or even simple familiarity with the game from an early age could all contribute. As an outsider looking in, I find it fascinating to ponder the reasons for this demographic anomaly and what, if any, insights into Asian cultures and psychology it might reveal.

China and other Asian nations, particularly, have strong cultural ties to baccarat. It is known as a game of luck, fortune, and prosperity and has been played for generations. Its appeal among Asian players is influenced by the cultural significance of baccarat in Asian communities.
