Winning Poker Network has been fined €1.3 million by Dutch gambling authority
This followed an internal investigation by the Netherlands Gambling Authority. It was found that Dutch players were able to access the Americas Cardroom website and place bets without having the necessary licenses from the operator.
The Dutch gambling authority contacted Winning Poker Network, alerted the operator and blocked several other websites from their jurisdiction. But not all were removed.
