Yasiel Puig Modifies Plea in Gambling Case to "Not Guilty"

Yasiel Puig pleaded no contest to lying to federal authorities when in an investigation into an illicit gambling business, it was announced little over two weeks ago. He has since changed his plea to not convicted, according to Bill Shaikin of either the Los Angeles Times, and withdrawn from such a plea deal. In a declaration, Puig said, "I want to cleanse my name." I should never have consented to enter a guilty plea for a crime I have not committed.
