Young acting students showcase effects of gambling in film

As part of a project to increase awareness of the negative effects of gambling on youth, a group of Walsall acting students found themselves on the big screen.

Young people were invited to submit ideas for an awareness-raising movie through a competition organized by GamCare and Ygam, which stated that schools and professionals would have free access to the finished product.

Last week, a private screening of the winning movie, titled The Gamble of Youth, took place at a movie theater in Birmingham. It illustrated the dangers and possible negative effects of gambling in a way that inspired young people to talk about their problems and get professional assistance.
