£100,000 lottery funding to assist Peak District farmers in enhancing nature

Dozens of Peak District farmers received a £100,000 lottery grant to help restore nature and peatlands.

The grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund aims to aid in nature recovery, clean water, and achieving net zero emissions by 2040.

The funds will support environmental surveys of farmer land and develop conservation plans. The goal is to replace lost farm subsidies with public and private finance.
