Poker’s always been more about the fantasy than the cards, see. You get to become someone else for a few hours, living and dying by your own wits and a little luck. The games where I truly forget myself and get lost in the action, those are the ones I play for memory. The stakes don't matter, could be pennies or thousands, what matters is feeling the rhythm of the betting, sensing your opponents’ tells, and making the sickest calls. When I win or lose big, that thrill’s the only fix I need. Them's the games I live for, win or lose. That's why real players keep coming back.
