Chinese embassy supports Phillipine crackdown on illegal gambling

The Chinese Embassy located in Manila has expressed its backing for the Philippines' efforts to address problems related to offshore gambling enterprises. This declaration follows the recent arrests of Chinese nationals who were connected to offshore gaming operators in the Philippines and were found to be in possession of powerful weapons and to have attempted bribery.

In order to address the root causes of issues resulting from the offshore gambling industry, the Chinese Embassy declared its support for Philippine law enforcement agencies. Notably, the embassy reaffirmed that gambling of any kind was prohibited in mainland China and expressed disapproval of Chinese nationals engaging in such activities overseas. It also pledged to support continued efforts to suppress gambling practices.

I think that the Chinese embassy is simply playing to gallery so that there will be no open confrontation. There is no country that will like to lose a business that directly or indirectly empowering their economy. Chinese government is trying to use diplomacy to overcome such rascality.
