Churchill Downs Incorporated officially opens Owensboro Racing & Gaming

In Owensboro, Kentucky, Churchill Downs Incorporated has formally opened Owensboro Racing & Gaming, a $100 million historic horse racing complex.

The location, which is the seventh historical horse racing facility property in the state owned by Churchill Downs Incorporated, has 600 historical racing machines, a retail sportsbook, simulcast betting, and a range of food and drink options.

It is anticipated that purse funding for Ellis Park Racing & Gaming's summer racing meet in Henderson, Kentucky, will be supported by the new facility.

I believe It also provides crucial support to Kentucky's horse racing industry, as revenue from the historical racing machines will boost prize money for races at Ellis Park.
