Churchill Downs set to host horse racing competitions from September

Following the deaths of 12 horses, Churchill Downs stated Monday that racing would resume at its Kentucky racetrack in September. This follows the relocation of its spring meet. Racing was suspended on June 7 and moved to Ellis Park after worries that the track may have contributed to a dozen horse deaths recently. Racing will resume at Churchill Downs in Louisville on September 14. Whether or if the track was a factor in any of the fatalities was not established.
