Colorado currently sits third in the Central Division, with two games in hand on the fourth-placed Winnipeg Jets but only one point ahead. So the Avalanche are in no position to relax, especially after winning just two of their last six games. On paper, a meeting in Montreal may appear to be exactly what they need right now. Nonetheless, while the Canadiens are one loss away from matching their record losing streak of seven straight games, they have been playing some pretty good hockey lately. But I still believe Colorado is too good for them.
