Crown Resorts receives $13.7million fine for unresolved taxes

In Victoria, Crown Resorts was fined US$13.7 million for filing false tax deductions in the past for advertising costs that were distributed as prizes. The problem was discovered as a result of a number of documents that Crown Melbourne submitted to the 2021 Royal Commission looking into Crown Melbourne. In addition to the fine levied by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, these payments are also required.
