GambleAware will launch a new peer support service in New South Wales.

The NSW Office of Responsible Gambling has unveiled an exciting new initiative in partnership with GambleAware. Starting next year, players in New South Wales will have access to a groundbreaking peer support service. This valuable addition to the existing support network in the state will include counseling, online chat, and education options.

The primary goal of this service is to enhance the capabilities of GambleAware providers in New South Wales, enabling them to deliver safe and efficient peer support services. Moreover, it aims to attract and retain peer support workers within local communities.

The new offering boasts several key features. Firstly, it will provide expert guidance to aid in the recruitment and retention of peer support workers. Furthermore, it will focus on creating valuable resources for GambleAware providers to enhance their peer support programs.

Finally, the service will facilitate continuous professional development and training opportunities for peer support workers. This comprehensive approach ensures that these vital individuals receive the necessary support and growth opportunities to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
