In the pursuit of playing more hands per hour, how can one avoid making critical mistakes due to speed? While a faster pace means more income potential, loose or rash decisions will negate that. What's the sweet spot between speed and high quality decision making at the poker table? Some suggestions:
Practice basic strategies and patterns until they're almost automatic.
Train your peripheral vision to still catch hints from opponents.
Set intentional blind strategies for common hands.
But what other tricks do winning players use to balance playing quickly while still making good decisions most of the time? Any wisdom to share?
