Do card counting "cheaters" actually help casinos improve their games? As a skilled blackjack player, I have seen casinos raise the minimum bets, shorten the shoe, add more decks andimplement other countermeasures to discourage card counting. While annoying for players like me,these evolutionshave likely improved game integrity by reducing the advantage knowledgeable players once exploited. Perhaps card counters and advantage players, through forcing casinos to adapt, have indirectly spurred innovationthat has made casino blackjack more fair and secure for the majorityof recreational bettors. What do you think? Have card counters ultimately helped more than hurt casinos?

The development of card counting and advantage playing strategies by blackjack players has had a significant impact on the evolution of casinos. In the early days of casinos, players were able to easily count cards and use this information to gain an advantage over the house.
