How to Play Ace-Eight in Poker

Ace-eight is a lousy starting hand, but if the cards are dealt, stay awhile. Early position, limp in for the minimum. Count your coins, not your troubles. If many call, check-call the flop slow. Hit a pair or open-ender, then bet smart. Raise, then check-raise on a scare card. When the river pairs your eight, make like a cyclone. Bet huge, go all-in with a hoot and a holler. Rake in the pot, and pants your opponents. Fun while it lasts - then seek a real hand next round.
