Indian Wells: Britain's Cameron Norrie beats Andrey Rublev to reach quarter-finals

British number one Cameron Norrie reached the Indian Wells quarter-finals with a straight-set victory over Russian Andrey Rublev.

Norrie had issues with his serve early on but converted all five break points to claim a 6-2, 6-4 win in California.

The first British man to win this title, in 2021, faces world number 16 Frances Tiafoe in the last eight.

"Andrey is not an easy guy to beat, so I was really pleased to come through in straight sets," said the 27-year-old.
