Is it Ever Correct to Call a Raise Just to See the Flop for the Pot?

I've learned one core strategy - raise only with a hand you are willing to play to the end. But is there ever a place for calling a raise just to see the flop, hoping for a lucky draw to win the pot? While an open pair or strong connector may justify a call, I caution the inexperienced player against calling just for the pot. More often it simply funds your opponents' betting rounds, making you a forced donor to the real players at the table. Stick with selectivity - only battle with true ammunition.

Calling to see the flop can make sense when you have a large stack in relation to the size of the raise and the possible payout. This is due to the possibility of winning a sizable pot.
