I have witnessed many ups and downs in the realm of online poker over the years. While short-term wins can bring excitement and the illusion of easy money, sustaining long-term success and real happiness proves far more elusive.
The competition is fierce, the games are designed so the house will always win in the end, and life's true joys seldom come from chasing dollars on a screen. That said, for those able to maintain discipline, develop solid strategy and skills, get lucky at times, and know when to walk away, reasonably winning at online poker may be possible as a side gig. But can it truly lead to happiness and fulfillment, or will the constant grinding eventually dim one's spirit? For many, I suspect the latter proves more likely. What do you think - is long-term success and happiness achievable in this world of online poker?
