Kalshi is self-certifying contracts that behave similarly to proposition bets, according to a notice it filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
According to the contracts' phrasing, Kalshi users would be able to place bets on the possibility that teams and/or athletes would meet specific performance goals during games, like points scored.
