New Jersey pushing to restrict all college prop betting

The state that is considering outlawing college prop bets is New Jersey.

Concerns about the safety of student athletes and the integrity of sports are the basis for a bill that would forbid operators from taking player-specific proposition bets on collegiate sports.

At the moment, players can place prop bets on college basketball games in New Jersey, but not on games involving in-state colleges.

College prop bets were outlawed in the weeks preceding the statement by Ohio, Maryland, and now Louisiana.
