Las Vegas casinos run contests to motivate workers during F1 Grand Prix

A number of casino resort owners on the Las Vegas Strip have turned to competitions to lure their staff members to work during this weekend's F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. This clearly indicates a worry that, in a time when resort operators are more concerned than ever, regular paychecks won't be enough to ensure 100% staffing.

Tens of thousands of dollars in prizes are being offered by Caesars Entertainment, the operator of nine Strip casino resorts, to employees who finish all of their scheduled or on-call shifts during race week.

An internal communications video that was first made private and then uploaded to YouTube described the program.
