Lawmaker's proposed SAFE Bet Act targets nefarious tactics in sports betting marketing

A US congressman has stated that he plans to present legislation that would alter how US online sports betting companies advertise and deal with clients.

In an effort to address the issue, he has proposed the Supporting Affordability and Fairness with Every Bet Act (SAFE Bet Act), which would require the thirty states that have allowed mobile betting in addition to the 38 states that have already approved sports betting to supervise operators' operations and impose a number of stringent regulations.
