Minnesota governor vows to pass betting bill in 2024

The Governor of Minnesota has stated that if lawmakers can move legislation forward in the 2024 session, he would approve the legalization of sports betting.

Racetracks, teams, and Native American tribes would be able to accept bets in person at their locations thanks to the Minnesota Sports Betting Act 2.0.

A state commissioner would supervise betting in Minnesota, per the bill that has been referred to the State and Local Government and Veterans Committee. Up to eleven licenses for sports betting operators, platform providers, and suppliers would be granted by the commissioner.
