Louisiana becomes latest state to ban college prop betting

Many state regulators are reevaluating their positions on college prop bets as a result of increasing pressure from the National College Athletics Association.

Louisiana is the most recent state on the market to change course. Today, the Louisiana Gaming Control Board declared that after August 1, wagers will not be accepted in the state. On April 2, the order was sent to the operators.

In 2024, Louisiana will follow Ohio and Maryland in going the other way on this. When sports betting became legal, a number of other states made it clear that collegiate prop bets were prohibited. Nevertheless, the bets are still available in almost 20 states.

It is because of the fact that this type of betting options are mostly prohibited because they are mostly under valued and they can easily we in the favour of one team and that is why if the authorities are actually blocking them it is in the favour of the people that are taking part and having such choices in their gaming activity indeed
