Casino patrons in Manitoba are being cautioned by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries that a purported gaming app for Club Regent Casino in Winnipeg is a scam.
The agency said in a statement on Monday that it received notice last week of fictitious social media posts purporting to promote an online gambling app for the casino.
The lotteries corporation said it has reported the fraudulent Facebook ads to Meta and is urging users to do the same if they spot the posts. The only legal and safe online gaming site in Manitoba is PlayNow.
