As the National Gambling Support Network celebrates its first anniversary, statistics have been made public that indicate January 2024 saw the highest number of calls to the helpline ever.
Throughout the month, 4,816 phone calls and online chats were placed.
Based on helpline interventions, the GambleAware-commissioned network has had 20 or more conversations with over 28,000 people; thousands more have been contacted through their local service provider.
