Netherlands gambling authority fines two operators over violating WWFT

After determining that neither provider had adequate control over its players' betting behavior, the Netherlands gambling authority issued instructions.

This is required by WWFT law.

A preliminary market-wide study was conducted in the spring of 2022 as the first step in the Netherlands gambling authority's investigations. The two license holders in question were the subject of additional investigations as a result.

Player information was asked for and reviewed throughout the procedure. The findings showed that without any operator's policies in place to step in and look into the matter, young adults could lose up to tens of thousands of euros in a short amount of time.

The Netherlands gambling authority has issued instructions to two providers after finding that they lacked adequate control over players' betting behavior, as mandated by WWFT law. This follows a preliminary market-wide study conducted in spring 2022, which led to further investigations of the two license holders. During the process, player information was requested and analyzed, revealing concerning findings. Without proper operator policies to intervene, young adults could potentially lose tens of thousands of euros within a short period. This highlights the urgent need for enhanced responsible gambling measures in the industry.

I too saw that on two gambling companies that the companies were closed by the government for violating the set guidelines and procedures as far as the niche os concerned.
