Ohio Governor supportive of cancelling college player proposition bets

The National Collegiate Athletics Association President and the Ohio Governor both believe that regulated sportsbooks shouldn't permit collegiate players to use props.

The association asked the Ohio Casino Control Commission, the state gaming authority, to change its sports betting regulations so that player props featuring collegiate athletes are not allowed. The request was sent to the commission towards the end of January. College player props, according to the nonprofit organization that oversees athletics at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, endanger the safety of student-athletes.
