New South Wales campaign highlights how parents influence gambling culture

In an effort to shield kids from the dangers of gambling, the government of New South Wales has declared that it has started a public awareness campaign.

The announcement states that children between the ages of 12 and 17 are especially impacted by their parents' gambling habits, according to research funded by the Responsible Gambling Fund.

Up to 70% of parents who gambled in the previous year did so in front of their kids, according to a report titled The Role of Parents in Youth Gambling. 1,185 parents who looked after their children aged 12 to 17 were surveyed for the report.
