New study reveals the dangers of influencer gambling endorsements

According to a recent Australian Research Council-funded study, kids as young as 12 years old expressed worries about how celebrity endorsements might portray gambling as appealing, safe, and enjoyable.

According to the study, which involved 64 kids from Victoria and New South Wales in interviews, influencers are thought to increase the allure of gambling for younger audiences. The participants stated that they believed social media influencers, especially on sites like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, had a big effect on their peers.
