Omonia, the reigning champion, is having a very rough year. Apoel, the top team in the league, has already been 14 points ahead of this group. They have won 4 consecutive games at home, where they are doing well. Moreto Cassamá was purchased this season however, he has yet to return their money with no assists and no goals.
Apollon tasted success two years ago. They have a good team and are doing only a little bit better than Omonia. They have gained three more points and still have one game left. In 2022, Apollon has so far defeated Omonia three times.
