Ottawa receives over $1.3million from Lottery & Gaming Corporation for hosting casino

In recognition of hosting the Rideau Carleton Casino, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has presented the city of Ottawa with a check amounting to $1,328,790. The gaming agency announced in a news release on Friday that this payment is a share of its third-quarter revenue, encompassing the period from October 1 to December 31.

As part of its share from Rideau Carleton Casino's profits for the fiscal year spanning April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, Ottawa has already received over $5 million from the organization. Since the launch of the gaming website in February 2000, the city has accumulated more than $100 million from this collaboration.
