Pennsylvania gaming regulator urges skill gaming debate to be settled

The head of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is pleading with state legislators to resolve the skill gaming controversy. All around the commonwealth, there are still a ton of taverns, eateries, gas stations, and grocery stores with skill gaming machines. There are also independent brick-and-mortar stores that sell only the contentious gaming equipment. The Pennsylvania Lottery's officials and representatives of the legalized commercial gaming sector in the state claim that skill gaming machines steal money from their heavily taxed and regulated businesses. According to opponents, the games caused a projected $250 million deficit in tax revenue that the state's casinos and lottery would have otherwise generated.
