Poker player gets four-year sentence for illegal cannabis business

Due to his illegal cannabis business, a poker player was sentenced to four years in federal prison.

He entered a guilty plea to the accusation that he ran unlicensed and illegal marijuana shops all over Southern California.

The player and his codefendant, according to the prosecution, ran a company called "Cannaland." Apart from operating its own illicit stores, the enterprise functioned as a distributor of cannabis, providing the drug to other unapproved shops across the area.

In April 2021, police raided Cannaland's California headquarters and seized five firearms and 3,000 pounds of marijuana, estimated to be worth over $6 million on the black market.

In a recent case that has sent shockwaves through the poker world, professional poker player Ryan Feldman was sentenced to four years in prison for operating an illegal cannabis business. Feldman, who was a regular on the televised poker circuit, was accused of running a grow operation and selling large quantities of marijuana. Despite pleading guilty to the charges, Feldman has maintained his innocence, claiming that he was only a small player in a much larger operation. However, the judge in the case was unconvinced and handed down a sentence of four years in federal prison.

Wow, that's quite a story. It's a reminder of the risks involved in operating outside the legal framework, especially with the strict regulations surrounding cannabis.

I've always been cautious about dabbling in anything outside the law, especially when it comes to cannabis. While I support the legalization and regulation of cannabis, it's crucial to abide by the laws in place. Getting caught up in illegal activities can have serious consequences, as this poker player found out.
