In a six-month-long crackdown on minors engaging in online gambling, police have apprehended over 1,000 young people.
As of Thursday, the National Office of Investigation reported that it had detained 2,295 individuals, 1,035 of whom were minors, for suspected involvement in online gambling between September of last year and March of this year.
A total of approximately 45 million dollars' worth of criminal proceeds were seized by the police, who also detained 75 adults.
