Public hearing set for Sands Las Vegas casino proposal

On December 9, the Nassau County legislature will hold a public meeting where citizens can voice their thoughts on Las Vegas Sands' plan to construct a casino hotel at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island. If it is awarded one of the three casino licenses for downtown New York, Las Vegas Sands intends to build a $5 billion integrated resort.

The legislature unanimously approved the 28,000-page draft environmental impact statement that Sands submitted to them last month.
