A set of emergency licensing regulations that would have delayed the state's introduction of regulated online sports betting have been rejected by the Secretary of State.

Since state law stipulates that an emergency rule is only justified in cases where there is an imminent threat to the public's health, safety, or welfare, or when the rule is required to protect a compelling governmental interest that necessitates an early effective date, he has rejected the rules.
