Sydney venue licensee charged for ATM violations

The Vbar in Sydney's CBD had its license penalized for placing an ATM inside a room connected to the gaming area.

Liquor and Gaming NSW inspectors discovered the ATM, and the magistrate ruled it was in the same section as gaming machines.

The court ordered the venue to pay $5,500 in prosecution costs. The magistrate clarified that the law requires ATMs to be in a section completely separate from gaming rooms.
