What are some techniques you use to stay calm and composed during a bad beat?

I have developed a few techniques to stay calm after a bad beat. Though losses sting, I know they are inevitable in the game. Getting emotional will only lead to poor decisions and bigger losses.

I take a break, get some fresh air or food, and reassess the situation with a clear mind. Changing games or tables is sometimes needed for a new player-dealing combination. The money lost is gone, I can only hope to win some of it back. But the most important thing is preserving my bankroll to play another day.

Bad beats happen, keeping a balanced perspective is key. There are always more hands to be dealt, more opportunities to win back what was lost and then some. The thrill of the game lies in the ups and downs, as long as you survive to tell the tale. Staying composed after bad beats is an acquired skill, but with experience comes the wisdom to keep calm and carry on.
