In Baccarat, the drawing of a third card for the player depends on the total value of the player's initial two-card hand and the value of the banker's hand. Here are the rules for when a player draws a third card in Baccarat:

If either the player or the banker has a total of 8 or 9 after the initial two-card deal:
- The hand is called a "natural."
- Neither the player nor the banker draws a third card.
- The hand with the higher total wins.

If the player's total is 5 or less, they draw a third card.

If the player's total is 6 or 7, they stand (do not draw a third card).

If the player does draw a third card, the following rules apply to the banker's hand:

- If the banker's total is 2 or less, they always draw a third card.
- If the banker's total is 3, they draw a third card unless the player's third card is an 8.
- If the banker's total is 4, they draw a third card if the player's third card is a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- If the banker's total is 5, they draw a third card if the player's third card is a 4, 5, 6, or 7.
- If the banker's total is 6, they draw a third card if the player's third card is a 6 or 7.
- If the banker's total is 7, they stand and do not draw a third card.

Once all the necessary drawing of third cards is completed, the hands are compared, and the one with the higher total wins the round. Bets are placed on either the player's hand, the banker's hand, or a tie.

It's important to note that these rules are predetermined and are followed regardless of any player or dealer decisions. The dealer follows a set of strict rules based on the game's standard procedures. These rules aim to create a fair and consistent gameplay experience for all participants.
