Poker allowed me to travel places I never could've seen otherwise. Gave me stories enough to last ten lifetimes, and friends as close as family. It's provided for me in lean times and put me in a position to help others in theirs. Most of all, poker has given me freedom - freedom from want, freedom to go wherever the next big game may be.
The table shaped who I am, for better and worse. I wouldn't trade those years for nothing, but I don't miss ‘em neither. Poker changes a man, or breaks him altogether. It's a rough life, but a good life, and one I'll always call my own.
